Join us for Litquake’s closing night, the poetry crawl extravaganza known as Litcrawl!

The Portal will be hosting three amazing eventos for Litcrawl;

5-6pm Grandmas are Griots(hosted by Allie Jones)This evening of dynamic writers upholds the traditions of oral storytelling resisting patriarchal violence and white supremacy through sustained culture. From our grandmother's prayers and cherished recipes to writing in conversation with cultural workers. Join Black Freighter Press as we honor matriarchy and movement through embodied practice and collective commitment. Readings by Ashia Ajani, Liftawiya, mel, Sara Borjas and Alie Jones.

6:30pm-7:30pm Mesa Refuge presents: In the Spirit of Kapwa(hosted by Tiffani Patton)

9-10pm Pochx Deluxe: An Ode to the California Lengua(hosted by Lourdes Figueroa)
