We will read poems written by Filipina/X poets in the Philippines and in diaspora. Let’s talk about these poems, their language, their forms, their social and political issues. Let’s think about power and patriarchy, subversion of power and patriarchy. Let’s write some poems of our own.

Barbara Jane Reyes is a longtime Bay Area Pinay author and educator.
