BIOS;
The daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, Leticia Hernández-Linares is an interdisciplinary, bilingual writer, artist, and racial justice educator. She is the author of Mucha Muchacha, Too Much Girl & Alejandria Fights Back! ¡La lucha de Alejandria! A five-time San Francisco Arts Commission grantee, she has lived, created, and protested in the Mission District for over two decades.
Dr. Ayodele Nzinga is a multi-hyphenated artist; a brilliant actress, producing director, playwright, poet, dramaturg, performance consultant, educator, and community advocate. She is the director of the Lower Bottom Playaz, Inc., and she holds a Ph.D. in Transformative Education & Change. She is the first Poet Laureate of Oakland.
Yaccaira Salvatierra is a California poet, translator, and dedicated educator to resilient, historically marginalized communities. She received the Dorrit Sibley Award for achievement in poetry as well as the Puerto del Sol Poetry Prize. She holds a master's from San Jose State University and an MFA from Randolph College in Virginia.
Anna Christine Rodas is an itinerant teacher and educator from the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds a Master’s Degree in Community Development and worked in this field both here in the Bay Area and internationally. She also holds a PhD in Spanish and her academic research in Central American Literary Studies explores the social realities of war, violence, and trauma. Her most recent collection Entre cenizas y palmas was published with Nomadic Press in 2021.
Flavia Elisa Mora is a queer, Mexican migrant artivist, raised in occupied Ramaytush Ohlone land, in a place known as La Mission. Her main two focuses are muralismo and Flor y Canto poesía. Flavia is a published writer, she has performed poetry throughout the Bay Area, and is one of the lead artists for the mural, Alto al Fuego en la Misión located on 24th and Capp.
