Drawings & Dreams is a collection of pieces on paper created during the pandemic. Adrian uses his dreams and interprets and transforms them through drawing. Sometimes they are dreams with ancestors who answer essential questions, sometimes they are dreams with fantastic animals, monsters or deities from a surreal universe. Adrian also uses day-dreams, because life gives us that in events every day. Things like love stories between astronauts from the future with beings from the past, people traveling on the subway and imagining a different future.
Adrian Arias is an international multidisciplinary artist who works at the intersection of visual arts, poetry, and social justice. As a descendant of the Mochica culture of ancient Peru, he uses the gifts of his ancestors to connect communities by promoting messages of equality, peace and beauty.
This exhibition is dedicated to inspiring people to find in their dreams a creative answer that they can translate into reality.
Special guest, Anais Azul with her music and original compositions.
Exhibition co-curated by Renée Baldocchi
