The South Resists - Report from Southern Mexico

Report from local activists who accompanied the  "El Sur Resiste" caravan through Chiapas, Oaxaca, Veracruz, and the Yucatan Peninsula  from April 25- May 5 2023 as well as the international gathering in Chiapas May 6-7.  Vanesa Nava and Caitlin Manning of the Chiapas Support Committee will share the situation and resistance of the pueblos they visited along the proposed route of the Transisthmus Corredor and the Maya Train. We invite others who accompanied the caravan or attended the international gathering to share their experiences and for all to participate in a discussion about the links to similar struggles in the US and internationally , the role of our government, and what we can do.
