Please join us in celebrating the release of @czaerra’s debut poetry collection PISCES URGES! Starting at 6pm!! Czaerra Galicinao Ucol (they/she) is a queer Filipino writer from Chicago. Their debut chapbook Pisces Urges is forthcoming from Sampaguita Press in 2023. Their poems have appeared in The Offing, Just Femme & Dandy, and beestung. They are a Best New Poets 2021 and Best of the Net 2021 nominee, and received their B.A. in Asian/Pacific/American Studies from New York University. Keana Aguila Labra (they/them/she/her) is a Cebuana Tagalog Filipinx poet residing on stolen Ohlone Tamyen land. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Marías at Sampaguitas and the co-Founder of Sampaguita Press. In 2021, she served as one of two Honorary Santa Clara County Poets Laureate. Keana is currently the Assistant Director of the Santa Clara County Youth Poet Laureate Program, and is pursuing her MFA at the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. They are the author of No Saints (Lazy Adventurer), Mohilak (Fahmidan), and Kanunay; and their fourth book is forthcoming from Sampaguita Press in 2024.

Maria Bolaños (she/they/siya) is a Filipinx American poet, co-Founder of Sampaguita Press, Managing Editor of Marías at Sampaguitas, member of the literary group, The Digital Sala, and Board member of Philippine American Writers and Artists (PAWA). She is committed to building spaces to celebrate Philippine and diaspora art, and making publishing more accessible to marginalized communities. Her work has been nominated for Best of the Net in 2021 and 2022 and published by decomp journal, Locked Horn Press, and Cut Fruit Collective, among others. antmen pimentel mendoza (she, he) is the author of the chapbook MY BOYFRIEND APOCALYPSE (Nomadic Press, 2023). antmen is a writer, the Acting Co-Director of the Multicultural Community Center at UC Berkeley, and a student at the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University.

Ellie Lopez (she/her) is a Latinx storyteller/photographer from the 209. Her work has been published by Dryland, Resurrection Mag, & Marías at Sampaguitas. When Ellie’s not hustling chismes, you can find her on the socials: IG & Twitter @missellielopez.

Lorenz Mazon Dumuk has two collections of poetry, Ay Nako: Writing Through the Struggle, and I Think In Poetry. He is a VONA alumni, and a MALI (Multicultural Arts Leadership Institute) alumni, which is a Silicon Valley based program that focuses on developing leaders of color in the arts, culture, and entertainment sectors.  He is one of the curators for, Glowing with the Moon, an open mic and interactive community space in San Jose.  Lorenz writes with, against, and through the contradictions he encounters, which allows him to explore the different silences in his life through his poetry.  An awkwardly adorable poet who can be caught doing hip-circles before a poetry reading. lorenz.dumuk@gmail.com.
