The Last Supper Party is a spoken word and performance series inspired by Fe Bongolan’s landmark painting of the same name; a 200 sq. ft. canvas that defines our Sutter Street office and live arts venue.
The Last Supper Party presents the voices of diverse artists and writers who call out the myriad injustices and impacts of corruption, unchecked power and greed.
We invite our audience to share ideas and bread and find inspiration in the thoughts and words of artists whose perspectives are drawn from a kaleidoscope of cultures. But who are united by compassion and a common desire to seek justice, equity and truth. Tonight’s features are Ayo Khensu-Ra, Kevin Dublin,Cadence Myles. The Last Supper Party is curated by Kimi Sugioka.

Ayo Khensu-Ra
Ayo Khensu-Ra writes at the intersection of poetry and fiction; he is a chronicler of fictional bands and alternate realities.He has featured at Voz Sin Tinta, Moondrop Productions, La Prabla Musical/The Music of the Word, Literary Speakeasy, the Sacred Grounds Open Mic and Bird and Beckett's Poets series. Poems in Amerarcana, City College of San Francisco’s Forum magazine, and Nomadic Coffee. You can find him on Twitter and Instagram (occasionally) (@ericenemy). Always low-key repping Black weirdness. He is more ellipsis than period.

Kevin Dublin
Kevin Dublin is an educator, advocate, and poet. As founder of The Living Room SF and co-director of Litquake’s Elder Writing Project, he’s committed to helping nurture writers of all ages. He is author of Eulogy (Raven & Wren Press, 2023), How to Fall in Love in San Diego (Finishing Line Press, 2017), and his words have recently appeared in The San Franciscan, Cincinnati Review, North Carolina Literary Review & more. Kevin has received fellowships, grants, and awards from the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC), Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI), Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing, and more. He resides in San Francisco, holds an MFA from San Diego State, and for a little Black boy from Smithfield, NC, believes he has been brought a mighty long way.

Cadence Myles
Oakland based multi-instrumentalist, singer and song-writer, Cadence Myles was born to make music. She combines the styles and influences of Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, Jill Scott, 311, Prince and Usher and channels them into one human being. In addition to performing her own work, Cadence co-hosts the Oakland QT Open Mic and The Brown Low.

Kimi Sugioka (Curator)
Kimi Sugioka is a poet, songwriter, and educator. She is the current Poet Laureate for the City of Alameda, a post that includes creating platforms for the presentation of a diverse variety of poets and spoken-word artists. Kimi also performs her own work frequently throughout the Bay Area. Born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and raised in Berkeley, California, Kimi has worked in public education for decades, and earned her BA from San Francisco State University and MFA from the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
