From Palestine to Mexico, All Border Walls Must Go! A Discussion on Building Solidarity Between Movements Against State Repression

  • 3036 24th Street San Francisco, CA 94110 USA (map)

Everyday the forces of the state around the world beats down the working class through police and prisons at the behest of the capitalist class. These attacks are also repeatedly struggled against by leaders within the working class, whether it be in the occupied territories of Palestine, or within the ICE detention centers where detained immigrant workers waged a strike against the state and at the privately held Golden State Annex. Join Worker's Voice and Firebrand for a panel that brings together activists involved in these struggles as we discuss these class battles and chart forward a way to unite both these, and all other fights the working class faces.

Workers’ Voice / La Voz de los Trabajadores is a revolutionary socialist organization that was founded with the fusion of Socialist Resurgence and Workers’ Voice in March 2022

Firebrand is a communist organization in the tradition of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, and Luxemburg built from former branches of the International Socialist Organization after it's dissolution.

Speakers and Bios:
José Hernández - Activist, socialist and organizer involved with the strikes by immigrant detainees at the Mesa Verde and Golden State Annex centers.
Ahmed Kanna - anthropologist and revolutionary socialist; member of #anthroboycott campaign which organized a boycott of Israeli academic institutions in the American Anthropological Association in 2023
