On Wednesday, June 28th from 6-7:30pm, El Camino Alternativo students will be showcasing their end of the Summer creative art projects for the community. El Camino Alternativo is a program at Hilltop High School in the San Francisco Mission District for recently arrived Spanish- speaking students aged 17-22 who face significant barriers to attending traditional comprehensive high schools. At this event, students will share their stories, their creative arts projects (writing, visual art, music... ), and enjoy music with the community.
Participating in this event will be high school students of the El Camino Alternativo program at Hilltop High School. El Camino Alternativo students are from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico, and have been in the U.S. between 1 and 4 years.
