Featuring rare archival film footage into a documentary. We, the host, the Chicano Movement Symposium Series would like to call this work a "docupoint."  A documentary meets a PowerPoint. The filmmaker is a recognized U.S. Poet Laureate, Juan Felipe Herrera but not known to the public as a filmmaker. The title of the documentary "Chicano Revolt" from 1969 to 1971.  A brief synopsis of the documentary discusses the historical significance of the Chicano opposition against the Vietnam War. Chicanos died in the front lines twice the rate than any other ethnic group. A series of peaceful demonstrations and rallies were held throughout the Southwest and gained tremendous momentum momentum. The public outcry by anti-war activists and Chicanos opposing the Vietnam War had national and international impact. The anti-war movement activists including Chicanos would become known as the National Chicano Moratorium Committee.
